Add a polling feature as a content block
Add a content block in which students could be polled and have it display in a variety of graphs once the student has responded.

add Student-created Webpages
Each student in a class gets a section of webpages to manage in the same manner that teachers manage their sites. These sections are linked to from the classroom website. Teachers will have the option to approve these pages before they are published or let the students publish their own pages.

add a classroom wiki
Allow classes to create their own wiki for students to contribute information. This could also take the form of a content block link to wikispaces or a similar service.

add the ability to the video block to encode video as flash
modify the video block to work as a flash player instead of requiring the client to use a video on their local system. This would create additional ways to protect copyrighted video and remove some potential for video being incompatible with local players.

add Student Profiles (Show and Share)
Students can set up informational pages about themselves including photos, files, video and audio. They can flag some files to be part of their show and share, one or more resources that are featured with their identity on the website. Possible additional features would allow for the inclusion of del.ico.us data, or other information from social networking sites.

add an All-School Calendar that feeds class calendars
For users inside a school domain, it would be helpful to have a centralized 'all-school' calendar which could provide events to all teachers inside a particular school/organization.

add a way to accept payment for classes
I would like to be able to offer courses that require payment up front via credit card. Upon payment, I would like the user to be automatically added to my class roster.

add pictures to On Page Text
It would be great to have the ability to Insert/Picture/From File or clipart while in On Page text. Make the toolbars a little more Word like.

add multiple field fill-in-the-blank questions
Another question type I would like to see added would be multiple fill in the blank, where there can be more than one blanks for each question.

expand Calendars to allow for multiple calendars per class
I have a need to maintain more than one calendar per class so I can organize events in different calendars. I could then post a particular calendar to a particular page in the Pages section.

indicate in assignment blocks that the assignment is done
Once a student turns an assignment in (Hand In button) it would be nice if that button disappears,
dims, or something to let the student know they have completed that assignment -

add the ability to post header and footer images.
I would like the ability to upload my own images to the header and footer of the class. This would be an easy way for me to customize the look of my webclass.

add a Class-wide Webliography
Build a class-wide webliography that everyone could contribute to and then at the end export it to a bookmarks file either web based or a browser friendly format.

It would be helpful to see multiple calendars from all my classes combined in one location.

add a way to manage email notifications
It would be helpful to have a way for me to manage the frequency of notification for events, dropbox submissions, discussion postings, inbox posts, upcoming assessments, and test submissions.

add a way to print assessments
It would be nice if there was a “Print Version” button on the top of the assessment so teachers could quickly and easily print out the assessment if they have a student who needs to take it paper-pencil, or even just if they want to tuck it away in a real folder somewhere.

Add a "Save As Draft" feature
When working on a page that is already published, I may have to stop and teach for a couple of hours. Of course I want to save what I've finished, but anything I save automatically goes live on a published page. I would love to have a feature that would allow me to save a block of text, and image gallery, or other element without actually posting it if I'm not done.
I am curious to know if it would be adequate for the 'save as draft' feature to appear only before the first time a block is published, or if the ability to maintain a 'working draft' for already published items would be equally desirable. Opinions?

Let me go straight to my Gradebook (or Dropbox or Inbox)
It takes too long to get to my Gradebook. Currently I have to do the following.
1. Click "Assess" (takes me to my Assessments)
2. Click the "Gradebooks" menu.
3. Click the name of my gradebook.
You should change the Assess tab, so that when I click it a menu appears & can go straight to my Gradebook without going through the Assessments area first. The same applies for the tools in the Connect tab. -

modify the text block to autoconvert Word Documents to HTML
Allow for an easy browse and upload button for Microsoft Word files, which will be converted to HTML and displayed in the WYSIWYG text editor of a text block for further editing.

Add to tests the number of students who missed each question
Many public school teachers use a scantron machine
to grade tests. The students answer letter choices on a small form withlead pencils and the machine grades it. The best thing about a scantron is the ability to find out what percent of the class missed each question. If Haiku assessment could do that.....the scantron would become obsolete. Especially since Haiku assessment puts the grade right into the gradebook. -

easily show on which page an assessment is published
When you create an assessment, you have to “publish” it on a Haiku page. It would be helpful when you view information about the assessment if you could see the page that the assessment is on. Sometimes people either don’t understand or forget where they put it and then they can’t find where the assessment is actually published to.

allow domain users to add custom links in the class header.
It would be helpful for domain users to be able to define at least one link that could appear in the header next to help. This would allow for perpetual navigation like links to the organizations help desk, etc.

add Upcoming Events to What's New
It would be nice to have a short description of upcoming events, perhaps the next 72 hours worth included in the What's New nightly. This way the nightly notification email would include upcoming events and assignments and warn us of important due dates, etc.

Add a mechanism for course evaluation
It'd be great if on the site students could offer qualitative and quantitative feedback on the course with questions created by the teacher
Bradley- Would this function differently then the current assessments tool? Could you clarify what additional qualities the course evaluation tool might contain? Thanks!

add export for a student to download all files in dropbox
Once a class is completed it would be handy for a student to be able to download all of their own work into an archived file. Perhaps it would also include all of their messages as .txt files in the archive as well.
